(*Sorry, I took a two week break.)
This is your challenge for August 31 to September 6.
Week 34
We are still making copies to be placed behind our Financial Records divider tab. After this week, this category will be complete.
This week, make copies of any other financial records that you feel are important and place them behind your Financial Records divider tab.
While shopping, get more peas, legumes, dried potatoes, and dried onions. Or, you can even try dehydrating some of your own.
Good luck!
Preparedness Challenge: Week 33

Good luck!

Preparedness Challenge: Weeks 31 & 32
I know it's late, but here's your challenge for last week and this week.
Weeks 31 & 32
Make a copy of your credit card (front and back) and place the copy in your binder behind the Financial Records tab. Keep this copy current.
Also, make a copy of any paper work for stocks, bonds, CD's, money market, etc...and place these copies behind the same tab.
When shopping, take advantage of Back to School sales. For example, paper, pencils, crayons, envelopes, stamps, journals, etc....
If you have a little extra money and time (ha ha!) buy some fruit and do some canning.
Game on!

Good luck with the challenge. Participants, check in with me and let me know how things are going for you. We are half-way through the challenge. Are you caught up? Do you need extra encouragement?

Preparedness Challenge: Weeks 26, 27, and 28
I'm hoping you have been as busy as I have and didn't notice that I missed the last two weeks of the challenge. Sorry for the sidetrack, Ladies and Gentleman, hopefully after this Sunday I will get back on schedule. For now, here are the last three weeks of the Preparedness Challenge.
Weeks 26, 27, and 28
We are moving on in our binder to the Estate Planning section. For the combined weeks, make copies of your Wills and Trusts, your Power of Attorney papers, and your Funeral Instructions. Planning funeral instructions is something I will be doing myself. Believe me when I say that it is difficult to plan a funeral for someone when you are not sure exactly what they would have wanted. I plan to outline what I would like the funeral to be like, where I want to be buried, what I would like my headstone to look like, etc.
Food Storage
When shopping, try to purchase some extra water jugs, ready dinners (if you eat them) and canned goods.
When buying water for storage, don't forget bleach and other water purification options. I just recently learned that when you purify water with bleach, the ratio is 2 drops bleach to one gallon of water.

Preparedness Challenge: Week 25
This is your challenge for the week of June 15 through June 21.
Week 25
This week, make a copy of your dental records. Contact your dentist for the records for each family member. Place the copies behind your Medical Information divider tab.
This week, while shopping, purchase some extra jam or jellies. If you are feeling ambitious, try making a batch of freezer jam or try making a cooked variety.
Good luck!
